Efrain Arroyave, MD

After retiring from a successful surgical practice, Arroyave launched DevelopMED, LLC in 1996, a marketing and business development firm for leading physicians in South Florida.


From 1989 to 1993, Arroyave produced a cable program on aesthetic medicine for WLRN. He also co-hosted “Health Care Today” and “Plastic Surgery Today,” a 12-part series on plastic surgery.

Early in his surgical career, Arroyave was featured in various national and international magazines discussing topics related to breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery.


In 2006, Arroyave authored and published a book on cosmetic surgery titled: Understanding Cosmetic Procedures. In 2008, he was contracted to write and publish an audiobook for the National Trucking Industry on health awareness, available on major platforms. From 2014 to 2019, he served as the medical editor for Selecta Magazine, a high-society magazine in Coral Gables, FL.


In 1998, Arroyave founded Medicus Group, Inc. to assist Latin American medical tourists. In 2000, he merged Medicus with MedicinaNews.com, where he served as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, distributing his magazine on all American Airlines flights to Central & South America, Spain, and Portugal.


In 2005, he founded a company that offered discounted lab tests to uninsured patients nationwide.


In 2014, he founded Exeter Med, a cash-only medical boutique catering to executives.


In 2019, Arroyave sold his medical holdings and moved to Lexington, Kentucky. Since 2022, he and his wife have been involved in the thoroughbred and saddlebred horse business.
